摘要Abstract：
Brazil has huge productive potential. To understand its economy, it´s necessary to understand its labor market: regional and sectoral heterogeneity, low skilled labor, high unemployment rates, and high participation of workers with informal employment relationships. In addition: the recent reform of Labor Legislation (2017) and the accelerated integration of technology into production processes.
This scenario poses challenges for public policies to make the labor market operation more efficient and, thus, the whole economy.
Especially to São Paulo, the most important economic center of the country. The adoption of characteristic elements of smart cities in the formulation and implementation of such policies is seen as an opportunity that needs to be practiced.
